YOU WILL FEEL BETTER

ABOUT ME

Hi there. Nice to meet you. I’m the one with the yellow pants in the photo on the right. My husband refers to said yellow pants as my “sexy grandma pants.” I’m not sure if that’s supposed to be a compliment.

My first book, YOU WILL FEEL BETTER, will be published in 2024. Drawing upon my own experience parenting a child with a rare genetic syndrome, it's the honest, relatable, actionable guide to doing life with a child with disabilities. My fiction focuses on middle grade novels, with an emphasis on broadly appealing stories featuring people like my son who do not yet have the ability to tell their own stories. In the Before Times, I was a feature film development executive, and worked on early versions of films such as FROZEN, TANGLED, and THE PRINCESS AND THE FROG.

I currently serve on the Parent & Family Advisory Council for Children's Hospital Los Angeles, the Special Education Committee for the Los Angeles Unified School District School Board, and the Diversity & Inclusion Committee for Canine Companions, the nation’s largest organization providing service dogs to individuals with disabilities. I was recently named "Best Mom Ever" by my two discerning children, and received a congratulatory mug.

If the authorities are seeking me, they’d best scour Southern California and interrogate my dashing husband, pair of mischievous boys, trusty canine, and the thing that lurks beneath the bed.

I aim to use my powers for good. Also for evil on occasion.

Welcome to my world.
